After the general anesthesia is administered, Dr. Meger will make careful incisions either around the aerolas, underneath the breasts, or on the side of the breasts around the armpit to prevent the scarring from showing much. He will then place the implants behind the muscle and secure them. Once the implants are in place, Dr. Meger will proceed with the lifting portion of the procedure, where the nipples will be repositioned and elevated to support and match the new size of the breasts. The entire procedure typically lasts between 1 – 3 hours. Patients can return to their normal routine within 1 – 2 weeks following the surgery and should expect bruising and swelling for the next 2 – 3 weeks after their procedure. 

Patients will see the increased size of their breasts right after their breast augmentation procedure; however, the results from the breast lift will begin to appear more gradually. After their procedure, patients can expect to see their results within 1 month once the bruising and swelling has healed. Overall, patients can enjoy their new, fuller, more youthful breasts for years to come, though the implants may need to be revised after a few years.
