A microneedling procedure will take place in our Phoenix, AZ practice under the skilled hands of our licensed aesthetician. During the procedure, a device containing tiny needles will be passed over the skin, allowing it to make micro holes on the area being treated. The sensation is similar to sand paper on the skin and should cause little discomfort. Once the microneedling is finished, the platelet rich plasma which was taken from the patient’s blood sample and purified in a centrifuge machine, will be administered directly on the small wounds created by the needles. The healing process will begin to ensue directly after the treatment with the holes closing very quickly. The entire process should take between 30 – 60 minutes. 

Some results can be seen right after treatment, but gradual improvement will become visible within a few weeks following the microneedling procedure. It is usually recommended for patients to undergo 2 – 3 treatments to yield the most optimal results, though some patients can see improvement after just one session. Patients can continue to see improvement for up to 6 months following their last session before their final results are revealed.
